Turning Progress into Tangible Result Every phase of the Digi-CHange project is marked by milestones and deliverables that make the digital transformation of healthcare education visible and measurable. Together, they demonstrate how ideas evolve into actions — from curriculum reform and laboratory creation to AI-based simulations, assessment frameworks, and awareness campaigns.

Milestones – Guiding the Transformation Milestones act as the key checkpoints of progress, ensuring that Digi-CHange advances according to plan and achieves meaningful impact. Each milestone marks the successful completion of a major stage in the project’s development — verifying that activities are aligned, validated, and ready for the next step. Ⓜ️ 1 - Concept of the updated healthcare curriculum (M12): The Digi-CHange consortium finalised a comprehensive concept for the modernised healthcare curriculum that fully integrates digital-health components and technologies. Ⓜ️ 2 - Validation of the updated healthcare curriculum (24): Extensive feedback is collected from educators, students, and healthcare professionals to validate the updated curriculum. Ⓜ️ 3 - Establishment of Digi-CHange Labs (M9): The consortium successfully established dedicated Digi-CHange Labs equipped with cutting-edge digital-health technologies. Ⓜ️ 4 - Purchase of equipment (M9). Ⓜ️ 5 - Framework of “industrial practical and research internships” (M12): A structured framework was created to connect academic learning with real-world industry experience. Ⓜ️ 6 - Framework of AI algorithms integration in updated healthcare curriculum (M18): A comprehensive guide was developed to support the structured integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and simulations into medical and nursing curricula. Ⓜ️ 7 - Pilot application of AI-based simulations in updated healthcare curriculum (M18): An action plan was developed to pilot AI-based simulations within the updated medical and nursing curriculum. Educational materials enhanced by AI algorithms were created, tested, and refined through iterative feedback cycles. Ⓜ️ 8 - Framework outlining digital health knowledge and competencies (M15): A structured framework was developed defining the essential digital health skills, knowledge, and abilities that modern healthcare professionals must possess. Ⓜ️ 9 - Assessment framework (M18): Document that defines the assessment process specific to digital health knowledge and competencies. Ⓜ️ 10 - Adoption of Dissemination and Communication strategy (M3): The dissemination and communication strategy is finalised, validated, and formally adopted by the consortium. Ⓜ️ 11 - Final dissemination conference Digi-CHange (M35): A final dissemination conference is organized to present the achievements of the project. Ⓜ️ 12 - Consortium agreement (M6): The Consortium Agreement (CA) is finalised and signed by all beneficiaries, establishing the legal, financial, and operational framework for the project. CA defines governance structures, partner responsibilities, intellectual property rights, decision-making and voting procedures, as well as internal reporting and conflict resolution mechanisms. Deliverables – Making Innovation Concrete Deliverables translate plans into tangible outcomes. They include strategic reports, digital resources, training materials, and frameworks that extend beyond the project’s lifetime. ✅ 1 - Needs assessment report (M3): This report identifies gaps, priorities, and opportunities for integrating digital health into medical and nursing curricula in Georgia and Ukraine. It maps the existing educational landscape and defines where and how digital health concepts can best be embedded, setting the foundation for curriculum reform. ✅ 2 - Map of updated healthcare curriculum with syllabi of updated and new courses/modules (M25): Strategic blueprint detailing the integration of digital health concepts and tools within healthcare (medical and nursing) education specific to Georgian and Ukrainian beneficiary HEIs. ✅ 3 - Comprehensive guidelines for the optimal usage of Digi-CHange Labs (M9): These guidelines include operational protocols, best practices for incorporating the labs into healthcare (medical and nursing) education, and strategies for maximizing their educational and practical impact. ✅ 4 - ToT programme “Digital health tools within Digi-Change Labs” (M15): A structured Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on digital health tools is designed and delivered at the level of consortium. ✅ 5 - Collaboration and joint activities (M18): MOUs and other collaborative agreements are established initially by Georgian and Ukrainian beneficiaries. ✅ 6 - Report detailing the identified AI algorithms and concept of their integration in updated healthcare curriculum (M24): Document specific to Georgian and Ukrainian beneficiary HEIs outlines the selection and strategic incorporation of artificial intelligence technologies within healthcare education. ✅ 7 - Evaluation matrix to assess the impact of AI integration on learning outcomes (M24): Document specific to Georgian and Ukrainian beneficiary HEIs presenting a structured approach designed to systematically measure and analyze the effectiveness of AI-based simulations and tools within healthcare education. ✅ 8 - Guidelines for digital health competencies assessment (M21): The documents present the instructions for organization and performance of digital health comptencies assessment. ✅ 9 - Framework for digital health competencies assessment (M27): The document defines standards, indicators, and procedures for integrating digital health knowledge and competencies evaluation across healthcare (medical and nursing) curricula. ✅ 10 - Dissemination and Communication strategy (M3): The strategy outlines objectives, target audiences (academic staff, students, healthcare professionals, policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the general public), key messages, and the project’s visual identity. ✅ 11 - Project website and social media page (M4): Project website and social media pages are designed, launched, and maintained to provide open access to information about the project’s objectives, work packages, tasks, deliverables and milestones. ✅ 12 - Report presenting the performance and outcomes of dissemination and communication activities (M36): The document presents the performance and key achievements of the communication and dissemination activities specific to the Digi-CHange project, outlining the project’s presence across its website, social media channels, newsletters, and other communication platforms. ✅ 13 - Report on awareness raising campaign (M35): The report presents the review and data collected from the awareness raising campaign on digital health conducted through different communication channels (website, social media, newsletters, workshops, and public events). ✅ 14 - Consortium strategic plan and timeline (M4): Document developed during the kick-off meeting, incorporating project goals, timeline and responsibilities ✅ 15 - Data management plan (M4): Comprehensive plan in line with FAIR principles, with detailed guidelines for data handling peer-reviewed and approved by the Steering Committee. ✅ 16 - Sustainability plan (M6): The plan will define the vision, objectives, and measures for institutional, financial, and policy sustainability. ✅ 17 - Midterm quality assurance report (M18): The document presents the internal and external quality assurance of the Digi-CHange project, including evaluation findings, progress summaries, and recommended action items. ✅ 18 - Progress report (M18): The document provides an integrated account of the Digi-CHange project’s progress at its halfway point. ✅ 19 - Lessons learned and best practices report (M36): Document presents lessons learned and best practices identified throughout the Digi-CHange project lifecycle, with a focus on transferability and added value for higher education institutions in Georgia, Ukraine, and other Erasmus+ CBHE contexts.
